Both Deceased Students Identified in the Ivy League School Incident as Authorities Press On With Search for Perpetrator.

The pair of scholars who were killed in Saturday’s violent attack in Providence had tributes paid to them on Monday – amid a widespread hunt for their shooter carried on following the freeing by local law enforcement of the only individual detained in connection in the case.

Tributes for Ella Cook

The young woman Ella Cook, a sophomore from Alabama, was called “an amazing, stable, pious, radiant soul”, according to the Birmingham's Cathedral Church of the Advent, which offered condolences for her at a gathering on Sunday.

She served as the vice-presidency of Brown’s branch of the campus GOP group, as the club stated. The White House press secretary also posted condolences publicly, saying in part: “Words cannot express. Thinking of her loved ones and companions, particularly her mother and father.”

The Second Victim

The second fatality was MukhammadAziz Umurzokov from Uzbekistan, from Uzbekistan in his first year of studies at the prestigious university, family members said.

His name was confirmed by the Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“He was incredibly kind, funny, and smart. He harbored grand aspirations of entering the field of neurosurgery and aiding others,” his sister, Samira Umurzokova said in a memorial statement.

What Happened

An additional nine individuals were injured in the weekend shooting in the engineering department of Brown’s grounds in Providence, during the university's examination week.

Law enforcement reported late Sunday that a 24-year-old male detained in a police operation at a lodging about 17 miles from the university earlier in the day was being released.

“We have a murderer out there,” said Peter Neronha, Peter Neronha.

Neronha explained, “Investigations can lead one way, and then you need to change course and go in another, and that’s exactly what has happened over the last 24 hours or so.”

Public Fear

The city's mayor, Brett Smiley, admitted: “This will probably generate fresh anxiety for our city”.

The shooter discharged a weapon inside a lecture hall in the engineering building on over the weekend, firing more than 40 rounds from a 9mm handgun, a police source told the media outlet.

Officers that searched the lodging recovered a pair of pistols and two loaded 30-round magazines when the person of interest was arrested, as was reported.

Those Hurt

Among those wounded, a single scholar was discharged from care, said Christina Paxson, Christina Paxson. Seven more were in serious yet stable state, and one was in critical condition, officials reported on Sunday.

Cook was honored at a church service in Birmingham on Sunday. A pastor commented, “Her presence was a wonderful, steady, pious glow not only here growing up... but at the university she was an incredible light in that particular place as well.”

A group leader, Martin Bertao, posted a statement from the organization. “She was famed for her fearless, heroic, and gentle spirit as she worked for her branch and other students,” he said.

Jonathan Henick, Jonathan Henick, said he was “profoundly grieved” by the student's death in a tribute. “We extend our sincere condolences to Mr Umurzokov’s family, companions, and schoolmates and grieve for of his potential.”
