Brian Eno Calls On Support to Propel Together for Palestine Song to UK Christmas No 1.

A fundraising initiative is aiming to propel a cultural melody to the Christmas number one spot. The campaign aims to provide aid to people in Gaza while also showcasing Palestinian artistic heritage.

A Possibility for Unity and an "Chart Upset"

Musician and artist Brian Eno, who features on the track, stated that the song titled Lullaby represents a moment to support Palestinians this festive season. He remarked the potential for an unexpected chart success.

“It would be incredible if that happened, yes,” he stated. “I wouldn't be completely disappointed if it doesn't manage to, festive releases are a unique phenomenon.”

Powerful Theme of Freedom and Dignity

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who features in the adaptation of a cultural piece called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the piece's defiant core message.

“It has a profound significance for countless listeners,” Barghouti explained. “The essence is that I would prefer a dignified death than live a life without freedom. This is the primary message of the song; we want to live a dignified life that we deserve as Palestinians.”

Track's Background and Contributing Musicians

The single was laid down in the wake of a major charity concert held in late summer. Initially planned to be performed and recorded live, the performance was cut from the show due to time constraints.

The diverse array of artists appearing on Lullaby features a range of acclaimed names from the industry. All took part in the benefit event, which successfully generated a significant sum for humanitarian aid.

Production and Release

Lullaby was crafted by a team of talented individuals. The song features a mix of the heritage language with freshly written English words.

The team running the initiative have clarified that their objective is to collect the highest amount for a charitable pot. These resources will be channeled to initiatives supporting Palestinians through an established charity.

“There is no a rigid aim,” a spokesperson explained. “We’ll go for whatever we can get. Of course, the more the merrier. It all goes out to those in need in Gaza.”

The situation in the region was described as its extreme devastation, with a vast majority of property described as in ruins or severely impacted.

“In that context, a handful of millions is unlikely to make that much difference. But I think the significant factor is primarily making this cause better known and proving the human dimension of the story.”

The song is scheduled for release on Friday. Additionally, a full recording of the solidarity show will be made accessible to view on a popular streaming site from later in the month.
