Former Physician Faces Sexual Assault Charges Against Thirty-Eight Patients
Legal authorities have stated that a ex- doctor has been charged with committing sexual assaults against 38 victims who were patients.
Details of the Grave Charges
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous sexual offences – including some against children younger than 13 – between 2017 to 2021.
A senior CPS official stated, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to support a detailed and complex police inquiry, meticulously examining the available evidence to establish that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Investigation
These allegations follow what police called a “complex investigation” into alleged assaults at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant is scheduled to appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.

Prosecutors outline the forty-five charges comprise:
- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- One count of attempted penetrative assault.
